Not Your Average Science Background
My science background is extensive and varied. I’ve worked in forensics, pharmaceuticals, and food manufacturing.
I’ve testified in court, responded to crime scenes, trained thousands of colleagues (not a typo) in instrumentation and compliance, supervised laboratories, purchased equipment, and the lab bench is a second home.
My experience with abbreviations includes ISO, SQF, HACCP, FSMA, FDA, CFRs, and Cal Codes to name a few.
I’m the lab person who has friends in each department: maintenance, production, corporate, sales reps, foreman, cops, and attorneys – I get along with them all. It is something I’ve very proud of.
I am blissfully happy to help others transition from but-that’s-how-we’ve-always-done-it and embrace the continual improvement principles that are now part of every industry.
As a writer, I lean on my training and experience to create content that is approachable and useful so users have confidence in the tools they are using and the work they are producing.
